Our inspiration to create Scandl Swimwear stems from our childhood memories. As sisters growing up on the east coast of Australia, we spent countless days together on the beach. Our love for the water, surfing, swimming, and lounging grew as we got older, and we embarked upon countless van trips to northern New South Wales and Queensland.

On these trips, we lived in our bikinis. We noticed the amount of fast fashion swimwear in Australia, and the lack of affordable swimwear that used recycled materials and ethical practices. As two uni students, we saw a gap in the market to create swimwear that won’t cost the earth, and won’t cost you.

After this trip, we started designing swimwear to showcase our appreciation for Australia’s natural beauty and share it with others around the world. With each ‘Scandl’ drop we hope to empower consumers to look great and feel great by making greener and ethical shopping choices.

As business owners, we understand the responsibility of minimising our impacts on the environment. We have implemented conscious choices in each stage of our supply and production, by using high quality recycled fabrics and recycled and biodegradable packaging.
